When I was running the marathon last year some one was holding a sign saying toe nails will grow back, but the memories last forever. I do have problems with my feet dragging some time on the way forward. My doctor said it is from the MS. I just try to be consistent. I am slower now, and that bothers me, but we all need to just keep going.
