Ensure you get the phacoemulsification op. No stitches with this. Phaco is common all over the world, but, still some places that only offer the old cut, stitch op.

The operated eye is covered for a couple of days. Wrap around specs are worn to protect from wind and debris. If one wears specs, then remove the lens corresponding to the operated eye and have the optician pop in a plain non-ophtho 'lens'. You will need this to protect the eye. Do the same for the second eye op. Care must be taken for the first month, and to be catreful of heavy lifting, heavy work and etc etc. You can check it out on line.
