Any more progress on the beaver dam from last year?


this is a new "pond" at the other end of the creek.

the farmers drained the other one. poor beavers. but good for the trees!

haven't been there lately to see if the beavers have regrouped.

this new one was just a creek with a small pond a year ago and this summer slowly started transforming into a much bigger pond. but it looks like the farmers cleared away some of the dam. as the water level looks a bit lower.

either way, very cool to watch nature at work. though am always sad to see trees cut down, by man or beaver.

but so long as the beavers don't come into our yard and devour our trees! the creek / pond is only ~1/4 mile away. but without a creek on our yard, i hope that means we're safe.
