Hey Donette - watch out for the carrots, they're starchy - i've never tested them but have just heard they're a no-no, so maybe you can handle them raw. oh how i miss roasted root vegetables:(


Susan - welcome, and your husband is lucky to have someone supporting him in the diet. I do better with coconut flour - too many almonds do a number on me and i like the flavor much better. I haven't checked out all recipes on elena's pantry but don't do gluten free ones that use other flours, like rice and bean flours. And baking powder is starchy - kiwi has the substitute that's baking soda and cream of tartar. -


I do better without dairy, and limiting sugar. can't answer the veggie question - i still eat them cooked, but still have pain. I would like to try going meat and all raw non-starchy vegs for couple of weeks, just don't have the willpower. If my tramadol ran out, however, that would be the first thing i'd do!
