I totally agree, Molly, everyone should stay informed and make decisions for one's self...I had to with my PCP Thurs., it was serious enough that I told him that I intend to change doctors and why....I asked him to help me put together a better treatment plan and that I wanted to ensure that all of my doctors were on the same page(he's the ONLY one that isn't and really, he never has been)...so I told him I wanted to drop these meds: Neurontin(3 per day), Flexeril(2 per day) and the Ultram(4 per day)...that's 9 less pills per day, 270 less pills per month and 3,240 less pills per year...which I figured he'd be fine with, considering that my liver enzymes have been elevated for over 2 years now but he said he didn't want to do that, I reminded him of the kidney issues, the liver enzyme issue, the stomach problems the meds are causing and the fact that they don't put a dent in the pain anyway, so why ruin my liver too? But, he stuck with it...

I'm not sure what his thinking is on that, he didn't say but I'm not planning to stay under the medical care of this doctor, he's only been my PCP for 3 years...when I first started going to him, I was only taking 2 pills a day, now 19, and a few of those meds are to treat new problems caused by all of the other meds, I just can't see it, little did he know, I quit taking all those meds over a month ago anyway!!

I'm practicing YOGA and NSD and I feel better already!!
