Just as some time ago they were advocating the Bis drugs 'for' treating AS, and, as infusions as well... Then we have had radiation for treating AS - now that went on for a few years... We have *also had advocacy for giving Statins willy-nilly to all those over 50yrs of age!!
Yep. Got to look out for oneself and as necessary be prepared refuse the treatment: this last after careful consideration and weighing up of all the facts of the matter. Just as I have now come off using that glaucoma drug, Timoptol LA. Caused bilopia - coud loose my driving licence; exacerbation of Reynaud's - cold nose, hands, feet, and needing to use a hot bottle and bed socks with the temperature in the 60s at night; and the exacerbation of tinnitus - fed up of going to answer a non-existent ringing phone and being woken at 4 a.m. by clanging bells! My decision based on evidence. Have now decided to opt for the SLT procedure - my decision. (Evidence shows excellent results and no furthher medications likely/or necessary and highly 'recommended' for NTG).
