Hi Jaybird, if a Dr writes an Rx or even gives a free samples, it's still up to the patient whether to take it. Agree w/you that some may have no interest in their health or are blissfully ignorant but "go after" the prescribing physicians or hold them "culpable" for what is a personal choice????
It may be a different case if specific risks are unknown or that info was purposely withheld but this case shouldn't be another evil pharma/anti-traditional medicine thread. The patient is free to choose alternative or traditional medicine or some combo thereof and to bear the responsibility to do the research and assume the known risks whichever course is chosen.
BTW, I use all natural capsaicin daily and it BURNS! A rheumy suggested it and said it burns, the research says it burns, the packaging says it burns! Have I been burned by my dr and big pharma???

<--This is how red it makes your skin

but the pain is worth the gain for me.
