Hi everybody,

New kid on the block. Please excuse my writing mistakes since i am not a native speaker of the English language.
Many Thanks to the admins/creators of the kickAS. Great site, we need a place to exchange experiences among us,
no doctor is able to understand what we are going through, i can't help my shelf wishing for a magic touch that
even for a moment could transfer to others the pain that iam in; this would have saved me from a lot of bo*lsh*t
that i have heard from "experienced" doctors.

Anyway here is a short background of my status.

i was diagnosed with AS (without the HLA B27) about a year ago while my first serious flare
was 6 years ago (that was on my 32, 38 yo now).
i was on NSAID for all this time and i had the serious pain come and go for periods but lately became as often as per week.
Right now i am passing through one of my most painful flares and here is the list of meds that i am on:

- Humira 40mg every 14 days (2 shots up to now)
- Dianicotyl for tuberculoses protection
- corticosteroids for my current flare - MEDROL (Medtylprednisolone)
- LYRICA - for pain control
- Neurobion - B6,B12,B1 bitamins
- Lonarid - painkillers
- Antivom & Vertigo-Vomex - for my serious vertigo insidents
- Movatec/fldene/voltaren - NSAIDS for my current flare.
- Zantac/Loprasole/Losec - for my stomach

Any thoughts/suggestions are welcomed on the next considerations:

- are you aware of any treatment for high values of hepatic enzymes (indicating liver problems) ?
Doctor strongly insists on dropping the NSAIds.

- Do you see any improvement with the use of corticosteroids ?
I think that maybe my dose is quite low 24mg now and still not getting any better.

- Is there anyone on Humira with adequate pain/progress relief ?
and is there a magic period that the drug needs to be effective? 2 shots up to but no difference for me.

Through early morning fog I see
visions of the things to be
the pains that are withheld for me
I realize and I can see...
