I believe Lyrica was used initially to treat shingles..adult chickenpocks... I haven't started any tx's except pain meds to tx the terrible pain in morning and after sitting a few moments. I have been on oxycontin 60 mg bid and take dilaudid 4 mg prn every 4 hours for breakthrough pn. I do take lasex ocasionally when I can't get my shoes on..the swelling gets really bad at times. I have developed a terrible rash on my face which the drs believe is a type of psoraisis. I also take anti depressant,clexa and xanax to sleep..it seems I need meds to do any normal functioning anymore and its still not "normal"
