Realise you might disagree with how things have been handled from time to time around here, but I've been following this thread fairly closely and havent yet seen any modifications performed silently or otherwise.
As a past Admin, I know that during troubled times things dont always seems so black and white. And while the aim is consistency in dealing with things, each situation is unique and treated as such. Honest to goodness Bill, I'm not sure there was ever a decision made during my tenure that every member was happy with, you just can't please everybody here or anywhere else. But what you can do is try to learn from past doings, taking the suggestions of the masses on board, and try something a little different next time around...
As far as I can see, the Admin here have tried something a little different this time. How 'bout giving a little credit when credit's due?
BTW - really hope that you're doing alright. Think about all you Londoners more than you'd all expect, I'm sure. I havent been able to reply to the actual controversial material in this thread bc I just dont have the words quite frankly.
