For 15 months I have been mostly carnivore. Seemingly like you I had to slowly eliminate more and more foods to minimize inflammation. Around mid-2015 is when I discovered the non-starch diet but I kept in green veggies; I just eliminated roots, grains, etc. I got sick of the taste of chicken so I eat beef, pork, fish and eggs. I'm not afraid of eating organs but when I cook them I use milk, onion and a bit more which seems to elevate inflammation. I almost always have a bone broth soup made. I spice soup and some of the meats: garlic, onion, and herbs. Sometimes I make homemade yogurt from whole milk and throw in black berries. Inflammation is lowest when the stomach is empty.

Too often I break down and binge on dark chocolate which triggers an inflammation related migraine. I can't resist peanut M&Ms. I ate a 165 g pack yesterday and have a migraine today. I've been coming out of a flare in my sacrum, hips and base of skull that began thirteen days ago. I don't know what triggered it. I probably fell off the wagon and ate something that I shouldn't have. My memory tells me that I binged on a lot of dark chocolate and almonds.

I can't eliminate inflammation. It is chronic. I burn and sting all over. The symptoms spread and get more intense. I have never been treated using pharmaceuticals but I am getting desperate. This disease has been trying to turn on since I was 25 years-old. Back then the doc said it was FM. At age 45 I started figuring it is an SpA. Brief infections through life seems to have elevated the disease step by step: Montezuma's revenge (1991), a three week fever (probably EBV in 1992), a marine infection from a S.C.U.B.A. accident (2013) and maybe bartonella from cat scratches (2013), and ibuprofen abuse (2014). The disease didn't become an obstacle until 2015-2016 at age 47.

I wonder if I should worry about the Neu5Gc sugar in red meat. Perhaps just not over-eating can work. I heard that Neu5Gc sugar causes cancer. I didn't know that it causes inflammation.

I discovered KickAS in 2015 when symptoms were killing me just after the marine infection and ibuprofen abuse.

What brought me to the forum today was a desire to search for posts about crunching neck bubbles and migranes. I have the impression that they co-occuer.

Cheers!
