Hospice when you need it is inviting and a very good thing. I volunteered with them for 5 years a few years back. That helps a lot.

Linda, you never have to apologize for taking so long, never, ever, ever! That being said you were on my mind, and I'm glad that you've found energy enough to let us know how you're doing.

It sounds like you've been doing alot of thinking. Like Cheryl, I wish that I lived closer so I could come round and give you these hugs and this love that I feel bursting to come out of me. I never thought to ask what stage of trial the new drug was at. Being involved so early on in trials is an incredibly difficult decision, and I'm so very glad that you've made a choice that feels right for you.

I never would have, for one second thought that it meant you were giving up. No matter where you are in your illness, there's always hope to hold on to. As good as it is to look at the big picture, it's just as good to remember the smaller things as well. Hoping for a better day than yesterday, a good visit with friends and family, a bright sunny day to read your favourite book in the garden. They're all valid, important requests. I hope that your hospice team is able to help you with all the things you need.

Linda, remember that story you told me - about that couple you knew that thought the husband had been given so much time. Always remember that those numbers are averages, that each person is different, and that all these well-wishes and love and prayers have to factor in there somewhere

Yes,
In my way I have done that. I couldn't take the sickness anymore, told the drs. what they can do to help me and we'll go from there. I have handed it out to my spiritualness and said take it, I can't handle it.
I feel what is meant to be done..... will be.....that the way it is........ .

I don't like to get into religion discussions but it's good for me now.
