Yeah, I was skeptical on switching over to a high fat diet, but I can't argue with the results. Cholesterol isn't unacceptably high, and my health is much better (knock on wood!).
My only mistake is that early on, I was reluctant to eat fat, and I ended up eating way too much protein. You can search on my earlier posts regarding my kidney concerns if you want some insomnia therapy. Things became a lot better once I downgraded my protein consumption. The following guidelines were uber-helpful to me in straightening me out.
