I can't imagine how that answer must have hit you. I am lucky and have strong family support. I do know that AS effects our loved ones as much and maybe sometimes more than it does us. Usually due to them not understanding what we are feeling and going through. I would try to bring him to KickAS and hopefully he will see that he isn't alone either, and can find soem of the answers that he needs to become more supportive.
