I wondered if this is just a lack of excercise thing (winter here, so not so much excercise, not out-and-about so much) or whether it's a beginning of something possibly more serious... any thoughts appreciated:

I have this dull pain, accompanied by mild pins and needles sensation, deep in my hip, and down the back of my left leg. There is also some lower back pain which seems to have intensified at the same time. It's no huge deal, I can walk OK, it's just uncomfortable and feels strange - has been like this for a few weeks.

I don't want to start worrying about things that are just normal - but I've had new psoriasis breakouts in places I never had them before, and now new pains too. This is with a background of recently stopping Methotrexate after giving it another 3 month try. (It affected my liver again).

any thoughts?

Shane

Hi Shane,

I had problems like that last winter. It is a lot milder this year. What is consistent is the pain on the left side that stretches right down to my left foot and heel. I am now into week 8 of this problem

The others are right to point out that it could be a pinched nerve. It could be that things have been stirred up since you went of the methotrexate. Go and see your doctor to discuss these symptoms and see if he has any suggestions for you.

I cannot advise the best approach on exercise and stretching, just do what your body tells you to do, because your body knows best what you need.

BTW I have had a continuing problem since 1988 with regard to my left hip, which has turned out to be my SI joint ;-)

Today is the first day of the rest of my life
