If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hello everyone! In two weeks I go for EMG testing. I am sorta freaking; scared of the pain and also what they will discover. I do not have leg weakness or arm weakness. I do have carpal tunnel for many years. Diagnosed yet not treated for it. Tired of numb fingers when carrying anything. Is this something you yourself were tested for and how painful was it? I am most scared of having a leg cramp when being tested. That would be horrid. Thank you for reading and hopefully answering.

following this thread!
My internal medicine doctor wanted to do nerve testing almost two years go. I cancelled the appointment b/c I felt that it would not show anything despite having neuropathy.
These days the neuropathy has spread and intensified along with "arthritis-like" symptoms.
I've spent much time going over events in life that would trigger neuropathy and arthritis phenomena. I am not convinced diseases due to epigenetic changes persist even after environmental triggers are eliminated -- heavy metal detoxification and infection burden reduced. I suspect, or hope, that there are cases of chronic diseases like MS caused by stealth infections that can't be found or successfully treated. I guess that is a bit like believing in life after death and karma.
Can't live forever. I wish that I was a Klingon. I am reminded of that movie starring Dabney Coleman titled "Short Time"

I am a little bit late adding my testing results to this thread. Oops!
I am ever grateful only my hands were tested for it was easily the most painful testing I have ever had. 😞😓😩
At present I am patiently waiting for the surgeon consult in 2 weeks. The EMG showed I am needing surgery ASAP on my Left Hand followed by surgery on my Right Hand as it was not found to be as bad.
Having been a speed typist for years guess it kinda comes with the territory as the saying goes. Or at least I think that's the saying 🤷. Correct me if you know.
Thanks for reading my post.

I hope so too, Inanna! Just 4 days until I meet the surgeon. I want to be knocked out for the surgery. Don't want to feel any pain or see how the surgery proceeds. lol Guess you can say I am just a little scared.
Thank you for your thoughts! Are thinking beginning to settle with you?
Take care! I am heading to bed as it is 11 pm. lol

Hi Angie,
I do believe your surgery is today? I hope it goes well and helps ease your pain.
Nothing is settled for us, yet. Working on that. Trying not to let the stress put me into full flare of either AS or Crohn's. Not easy. But we are trying to stay positive.
Love and light, my friend. Please let us know how you are doing when you can type again!

I did go for the EMG testing. They tested for carpal tunnel with my being diagnosed officially for the second time with Severe carpal of my left hand and moderately severe in my right hand.
Met up with my surgeon who was highly recommended by my regular physician with the result I am on her wait list for surgery.
Could have had it done on the spot but I really did not like that idea so opted for operating room surgery. I know even Magicians are fearful at times.
Have you had Carpal Tunnel surgery? Was your surgery successful?

I'm glad they figured it out, anyway. Hopefully, they can fix it sooner rather than later. It's not something I've had to deal with, thankfully.

Hello everyone! Today's date is Wednesday, September 28/2021. I am still patiently waiting for Carpal Tunnel surgery. Our hospitals are horribly backlogged. I do not personally think my surgery will happen until next year. No worries on my part. I would rather a patient needing heart or eye surgery or any other major live-saving surgery take my spot. I can patiently wait.
Do not know why hospitals are experiencing such struggles but I know we are certainly not alone. I suspect it began quite a while ago silently eating away at our medical resources then further helped along by Covid-19.

So today is an entirely new day. It is also the very last day of September 2022. Soon it will be an entire new month. Who knows what this new month will provide for each one of us but rest assured KickAS will always remain here as a very special community.
I will be heading home soon to spend a couple of weeks with my family but rest assured I will be coming back.
I am struggling with my own writing issues, too. Mine are of a different sort for I am struggling with doubt of my writing prowess. Have to admit I do know success is within my reach but the human mind (mine!) is really putting up a battle.
Come back fellow KickAS'ers. It is still very lonely here. Before I forget I want to wish all of you a wonderful Happy Hallowe'en! Don't eat too much candy, eh!
