So my most recent conversation with my rheumy is that her worries about unmasking underlying IBD are now relieved given new data that don't show that as having happened.

For me, my big question is: when is it going to get approval? And once that happens, when can I get it? I'm worried about joint damage in my fingers. I kinda need my hands.

Well, another year has gone by since secukinumab first was approved for psoriasis. Two studies now have validated long-term remissions in both PsA and AS. I don't know when we'll see approval.

New results published show secukinumab completely stops AS.

Awesome. If Cimzia stops working, this will likely be next for me. Unless I go back to Enbrel, which I took a few years ago (stopped because it seemed to stop working, but in retrospect it might have been a bad flare instead).

DX: Psoriatic Arthritis, Osteoporosis, Psoriasis
Meds: MTX since Oct 2009, 15mg/week. Cimzia-restarted after 2 yrs away.

Still no word. Now I have a bad arthritis in my right foot. I had to call out of work for a day. Difficult to walk. Rheumy offered opiate analgesics. I flatly refuse to go down that road. Not now, not ever.

Come on, FDA. People are suffering. Stop dragging your feet!

Im in the UK. Have asked for this only yesterday. As not yet NICE approved, I have been told an individual funding request will have to be submitted via my NHS hospital. I was told this could take three months or more. Anyone know more about this process? I can imagine due to the cost I will be fobbed off.
