I am really craving ice cream and unfortunately the one I was eating from Whole Foods has agave, as well as cocoa....needs to be dairy, soy and starch free

In States I could eat Breyers at times... milk, cream and sugar.

If there is one thing I have learned about feeling good and conquering disease, it is to never trust any processed foods in a package. Just always make my own now!

People went bananas over this vegan ice cream when I served it over raw pumpkin pie at a dinner I catered on Sunday night at a winery. All 34 people LOVED this!! I had people begging for the recipe, and my upcoming raw class sold out in minutes after people ate this dessert over the raw pumpkin pie. Good stuff.

Simple "Nog" Ice Cream Recipe:
1 can coconut milk
½ cup maple syrup
1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
1 to 2 Tablespoons rum (makes ice cream softer)
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon fresh grated nutmeg
Pinch sea salt

Blend, pour into ice cream maker, firm up in freezer, lock up or enjoy!

I bought an ice cream maker last year (now own 2 for catering) and they were well worth the purchase!

This is the model I have, and was able to pick one up for $39.95 at Costco the beginning of the summer. Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker

Here is my vegan mint chocolate chip ice cream: http://bettyrawker.com/2013/02/20/vegan-mint-ice-cream/

And the Cherry Garcia ice cream! http://bettyrawker.com/2013/04/09/cherry-garcia-ice-cream/

And the raw walnut ice cream (people have loved this one, but it can be a little grainy sometimes if you don't have a vitamix and soak the nuts 8 hours): http://bettyrawker.com/2013/06/20/walnut-chocolate-chunk-ice-cream/

I'm now a KICK AS (and Kick IBD) success story!! After going low starch Paleo to heal my gut, I can now eat nearly all starches, grains & foods without inflammation, flare-ups, or pain. I used a modified SCD diet approach (minus dairy! plus cacao ♥). Cheers to healing & thriving again! I blog at http://www.forestandfauna.com/about/

And this makes an super creamy raspberry sorbet, no ice cream maker required! The avocado creams it right up and there is absolutely no avocado taste to it. I personally can always taste the avocado in chocolate desserts, and am not crazy about it with chocolate, but it goes amazing with tart raspberries and lime juice. I served this at a raw Thai food dinner party for 32 people 2 weeks ago, and everyone loved it too! It was served as part of a raw banana split, with pineapple/basil sorbet, and a scoop of peach/ginger sorbet, served with chocolate covered banana stars (not starch free) coconut chips and raw cacao nibs.

Thanks! I guess I will have to pick up an ice cream maker! These look delicious.

I was going to post a question to you about mejool dates. I got some tonight for the first time and loved them. I recall you having a shake with them in it. Silly question but I'm assuming the pits need to be removed, right?

Hmmm.... I am sure which recipe you are referring to? I use dates in all sorts of smoothies! And there are still smoothie recipes on my website too....

You can easily just sub in a date or 2 in any smoothie in place of maple syrup, or honey. You can use hemp seeds, or homemade almond milk, or sesame seeds, raw cacao, coconut milk, any combo really....

All I have is a regular blender, not a vitamix will it still work? I am going to try to pick up an ice cream maker, but can't buy both right now.
Is this one good? http://www.kohls.com/product/prd-540142/cuisinart-ice-cream-sorbet-maker.jsp
Or this one. https://m.bedbathandbeyond.com/bedbathbe...FromSearch=true
