Yes, you can. Go for whole milk yogurt not lowfat/nonfat. I only stopped doing store bought yogurt because it seemed like the higher levels of lactose might have been getting to me.

Also note that making your own yogurt is not as tiring as you might think, as long as you have the right equipment.

1. pour half-and-half into pot
2. turn burner to medium
3. take it easy while waiting for half-and-half to heat
4. turn off burner when your handy electric thermometer beeps
5. take it easy while waiting for half-and-half to cool
6. stir in a bit of yogurt culture powder
7. pour half-and-half into glass jar and put in yogurt maker
8. come back in the next day or two and put your yogurt in the fridge

yeah i dont care for the lowfat nonfat type anyway :] great. i need to make plans on doing this soon cuz i need a treat.

i did watch the youtube vid from naj, your directions are very similar to the video. yes it sounds simple and when i get some more improvements i may try. for now though its exhausting and painful to shower and wash my hair. sometimes i have to shower then later in day wash my hair. then when it comes time to cook.. i dont often have a hot meal b/c i have to cook per item, then go rest, then next item. by that time theres only one hot thing on my plate. im just not in great shape. thanks for all your input :]

oh and cream?!

i want to try some cream but which one is JUST cream?

looked at some labels and it has other crap in ingredients.

im in usa btw.

edit: i would still like to know what u all use but i THINK im on to something. i searched 'carrageenan' here (cuz its in most creams) and found that perhaps THIS could b my prob and not the cream itself. (thanks again zark lol, i reference u a LOT). someone posted on 'organic valley' site that their cream with carrageenan caused there joints to inflame.

So new question is 'what 100% cream do u use?' seems this usually is pasturized and not ultra-pasturized. thank u
