Trae,
well thanks for asking.
With my health being as it is, I stick with a lot of stories and application. I take it slow and occasionally there is conversation in the group listening.
Our time together on Sunday is a family setting.
I so miss my grandkids. But I am looking forward to seeing them this summer.

Lon,

I take a med called cyclobenzaprine. It's a muscle relaxer. I think I pay $7 for it. It has helped me so much. I have had a few cramps this week, but it is because I started back to an exercise class. My body is screaming, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"

So I have the option of taking 20mg instead of 10mg if I need to. Sometimes I even cut a 10mg in half if I'm feeling like the inflammation is down a bit.

Take Care of You.

I found that drinking seltzer water helps to prevent cramps in the legs. It contains quinine. The quinine is what helps. I don't care for the taste so I mix it with 7up. I guess you could mix it with something stronger if you wanted.

Donette,
Yea, I have that prescription also.
But it seems like I am always so much worse after I have been on them. Maybe I should stay on them a week.... or more.. I am also on Robaxin 750 every 4 hours if needed - but that seems to make me jittery.
It ain't easy being me....
I have had these charlie horse cramps real bad for 20 years. But the last 4-5 years they put me down when I get them.
I think you are right about couples saying their prayers together. Lin and I will sometimes drop to our knees when we are conflicted about our son or a heart ache in our church.

Hey, Lon--

If I ever make the drive up to visit you I'm wearing body armor, a helmet, and packing all my Search & Rescue and EMT gear. And that's just for my safety.

Maybe you should convert your baptistry to a mikvah? I'm told moving natural water (mayim chaim) is easier to maintain. And hey, after all, you guys stole the idea from us anyway!

On a more serious note: Re the charlie horses... got milk? Seriously-- and lots of it. And Gatorade or another sports drink might be a good thing to haved on hand. Whenever Charlie bites me it's usually a sign I'm neglecting my calcium/vitamin D levels, or I've let my electrolytes get badly out of whack. If it keeps up after you've tried those, see the doctor and have your kidney function checked.

Shalom,

John

Donna,
I had forgotten about that. When I worked for Coca Cola years ago quinine water was a big seller with older people with aches and pains. thanks for the reminder.
Even though I have had muscles relaxers my front muscle on my legs right now feel like they are being pull off the bone.. It is difficult to explain to people sometimes the pain we feel.

Brother John,
You had me laughing. I have never seriously hurt another person; person on accident. Now I have put a few in need of medical attention; but that was years ago - before God got hold of me. So you are safe.....
have a milk allergy. Not just intolerant - I will be sick if I drink too much. But me thinks I do need some better electrical circuits in my muscle so I will tend to that.
If you drive up John, we could put a real fire under the baptistery and soak fora bit.. just kidden

I would wait for better roads, right now it is icy and the sidewalks are a mess. Yea I do slip on occasion.
I had a thorough check up before my wrist surgery. some concerns but I don't plan on living long anyway.

thanks John,
Lon

Hey Lon,

Thanks for the story. Was there a dove coming out of the water when you took the plunge?
