My rheumy is good.. hes helpful and was very patient with the language barrier in the first few apts. however he works in a public hospital.. and here that equals hell! for example the docs give you a DATE for the apts.. eg monday 12th and you go ... the earlier you get there the earlier you will be seen.. you form like a line! hehe strange.

ooooh i wish i didnt have morning stiffness.. would make my life easier.. hmmm while im wishing for miracles... i wish i didnt have spondy!! :P

Hi Sonja
Im glad you get on with your rheumy and im not saying he is bad.But a lot of Doctors dont listen to there patients. As mine says I know a lot more than he does about pain because Ive got it so treats me accordingly.

im glad your doc listens to you! and yeah i get on with mine but sometimes he just doesnt listen!!i say im in pain and he tells me to be patient!! Sadly no matter how trained someone is they still cant understand exactly what we're going through. as my bfs little sis (juvy arthritis) said "people dont understand its not that there is a position or an excersize to make us feel better.. its just always there!!!"

Thanks Kevin and Sonja....
I was diagnosed 6 months ago, judging by the damage and fusing, pain history, rheumy reckons was probably active for 10 years but constantly misdiagnosed. So it was kind of a relief to know there was something going on, the last 5 years have been pain hell, just kept it all bottled up inside til had complete flare physical exhaustion meltdown. That was a year ago. I haven't worked or done much apart from work all this stuff since then. I recently got on disability pension (australia) and go on Enbrel in the next few weeks, so hopefully things will pick up and i can slowly go back to work/ study/ life soonish. haven't had any stomach problems with 6 months of nsaids, always have them with food, but they don't really do much... just take a layer of pain off and reveal another!!! Anyways... i'm not much of a forum poster (though this place seems friendly and drama free) but i'll be around and let you guys know how things go..... cheers Rob
