Hey Lon,
You mean to tell Me that us AS Kickers haven't sraightened out all the docs yet? Well what's that whole thing about Ignorance is Bliss, or is it Ignorance is BS in the case of a Dr. I know even my own rheumy who has not lead me wrong in my battle, was a non believer in women's AS until I introduced him to this site. All of My docs know about this site and I know my rheumy and my GP have lurked around it and have taken a little different view of AS after being here. Sometimes the student is smarter than the teacher.
I am glad that you were there for her. My eye doc gives my eyes an extra good going over since my diagnosis. He is well aware of the connection of the back to the eyes..

Squirrel season comes in the first of September. I feel a little woods sitting coming on. I have shot my 22 and my 50 cal muzzle loader with hardly any adverse reaction. Still steering clear of the 12 gauge. Might break out the old 410..lol

Hi Lon, My name is mez & I'm new to this site. Well how STUPID is that Dr, & isn't he in for a rude awakening. now your daughter can laugh back at him. I have had the same problems for 21yrs, I'm so pleased that your daughter is going to win this one. He's just one of many Dr's that need to get their heads out of their backsides when it comes to AS. all the best Mez.

Lon, your daughter's doctors are sounding more and more like mine.
Knowing you have AS, the doctor should had no problem realizing that her eye problem was AS related.
I am glad she had her father there to give her the pep talk.
She had a good father there.

Squirels sound like fun! I was going after them in North Pl. but I never did get around to it. I hope to be making jerky in a few months. Yep, I got the wood, the smoker, I am ready! Do you do your own jerky?

Hi Lon. Sorry about your daughter's experience. This dang disease is hard enough to handle without supposed experts thinking we don't know what we are talking about. Is there any way your daugher can find a different doc in the area?

It is a problem when we don't feel good and then get misunderstood or un appreciated by those who are supposed to know. Butif she helps him learn, there will be others who may benefit!
