Hey

Never tried elations, but Glucosamine/chondroitin supplements have never worked for me, personally. I know they're intended for use on Osteoarthritis.

Let us know if it works for you!

I take 2000mg of MSM per day. I haven't noticed any appreciable changes in pain levels related to my AS. Many times the MSM is combined with glucosamine or glucosamine and chondrotin. Perhaps it is most effective working in synergy with one or both of those. I take it in combination with Vitamin C hoping that the biggest changes are taking place "behind the scenes" at a cellular level. It is either helping me with benefits to be potentially realized further down the road, or I'm just wasting a lot of money. Hopefully the former.

Kind Regards,
Jay

I've taken glucosamine/chondroiting for many years. Prior to taking it (and prior to having overt AS symptoms), I had very "clicky" joints. I had to get up in the middle of the nights, just to click all of my joints. That went away with the glucosamine/chondroitin. It takes about six weeks to see a difference, so if you are going to take it, stick with it for a while.

Since the stuff is fairly expensive, I've tried going off of it a couple of times. Every time, the snap-crackle-pops come back within a few weeks. I can't believe that all of that cracking is good for me, so I keep taking glucosamine/chondroitin.

Glucosamine seems good for some. Maybe i should start a new thread here, BUT there is an increasing movement towards topical glucosamine as it is felt that it works more effectively if applied only to the joint that requires it. This product is not universally available, but is in SE Asia.
