If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Only if my wife and Pete would move with me, and if I could make a living.

I do just because I love warm weather better than so much snow! I'm sure the barometer changes in all areas would affect me. I hate having to bundle up to keep warm. Not getting as much sunlight tends to keep me more depressed during winters. Plus the added joy of slipping or falling keeps my eyes on the south! But then in the south you have all the 'critters' that don't survive in cold areas ... poisonus snakes, fire ants, etc.....

I agree with Possi. The gulf side may not be the best choice simply because of the pressure changes. I don't do well at all when I'm down that way. I do really well in Arizona and somewhat ok in southern Cali. So yes, one day I'd love to live in Scottsdale AZ. We vacation there at least once per year. I'm in Nashville TN now and the weather is crazy. Lots of pressure changes, hot cold hot cold.... I am more accurate than the meteorologists when it comes to telling when a front is moving in!!

It's the very reason why we moved from CA to AZ. We lived in Oxnard Harbor in CA (our back yard was ocean water with docks and boats and occasional seals...). It was often foggy and overcast in the mornings and by afternoon it had burned off. Very difficult having the constant change in weather, although it was lovely. We visited some friends in AZ and my hubby saw me moving around with much less pain, so we bought a house and moved. We've been here 10 years and love it. Although, from July-September, we are usually plagued with monsoon, stormy weather and the rapid change in the barometer is painful for me. On the other hand, I'd take a few months of the pain over all year long. Oh, and Trudi, yes we have many critters -- Only 1 rattle snake in the yard/house that we know of, bobcats, coyotes, possibly a gila monster depending on if you ask me or my hubby, and the winner of most frequently visiting in our house are scorpions (there are a few varieties that I've seen, but mainly the bark ones).

I have moved to warmer climates . Orig from nj then to fl then so cal .The warmer weather had no affect on my flare ups ,problems and progression .The warmer air I think just puts your mind in a nice state as I sure enjoy no ice ,snow, cold ect .I actually am planning to move back to nj soon and back to the cold ahh.

Trace you said it...I was shocked to learn there's a "monsoon season" in AZ and of all the states, those daily monsoon pressure changes left me in agony and made it the worst state for me. I thought they were joking about monsoons in AZ. AZ is a beautiful state but I had the worst allergies ever and bedridden by monsoons -Snow fan

There's no doubt that I feel better in summer. I find the heat and warm humidity loosen up my muscles no end. There's definitely a part of me that would love to live in that year round.
Then there's the Canuck part of me (much stronger) that would miss our four very definite seasons. With global warming, it seems the last few years the seasons aren't as clearly defined. Autumn and Spring seem to be shorter than they were. But still, there's nothing like going out on a crisp, cold, day in winter. That said, I hurt way more in winter than I do in summer. So, January and February in a warm climate would be really nice. But I need December and March cold temps. They just feel right. Even with the increased pain. I mean, how the heck are you going to know Spring is coming if you can't feel the Winter?
Many hugs,
Kat

Cherkibbs pictures reminded me of the two time I was able to spend a month at a time in Hawaii - I was much better at 82 degrees. However it may have been due to the lack of stress! Brian

What a coincidence that this question has been raised just when I am moving base from one town to another (with the regular winter flares being a major factor).
I do not know hoe you folks in more temperature regions cope with winter. In Delhi, the minimum temperature is usually only around 2-5 degree C and it becomes a veritable hell.
I really have nothing but admiration for you all living in areas where the mercury plunges below the freezing point. Hats off to you all!
