I've had several miscarriages, but in the end finally ended up with a little boy. Like Bridge, I never had the problem of getting pregnant, I just couldn't keep them to save my life. They hadn't run any tests on me yet because "i didn't have enough miscarriages to show alarm". So I don't know if the miscarriages were a result of AS or my body just completely rejecting the pregnancies. And needless to say I do everything in my power to avoid that Dr at the OB practice I go to.

Sarah -
I'm just curious how many miscarriages your doctor thinks it takes to "show alarm?" sheesh. Personally, I think 3 is plenty . . . but my poor mom went through 8!

Don't get me started on that Dr, but since you did!

Here's the condensed version:
He discounted one of my miscarriages because I hadn't made it to the Dr's office for confirmation before miscarrying. So right there, as far as he was concerned, they didn't happen. When I got stuck with him, I was at my third pregnancy (twins). When it started looking like it wasn't going to work out, I started discussing options with him, like a D&C. He said just let it happen naturally, he wasn't doing the D&C. I should have known then things were going to go downhill. When I got the phone call with blood results from another Dr that indeed it resulted in a miscarriage, that Dr asked me what I wanted to do, so I told him a D&C, he said that was perfectly acceptable and he would contact the other Dr to do it. I told him about our conversation and he said the other Dr will do it, no questions asked. Well he did and to this day I swear up and down he did something wrong! So when I had to go back for the follow up after the D&C, I told him my mom had problems, took her 8 years and she had to have fertility help. Is this something that's passed down. His response "fertility drugs didn't help your mother, it was her time to get pregnant. And this is something that is NOT passed down to you, this is normal, you'll have it when it's time". I asked him if something could be wrong and that's why I was miscarrying and the response "There's nothing wrong with you, this is normal, you will have a baby when you're supposed to". At that point I basically got up and walked out. It must have been in my file that I walked out of a Dr's appt with him because at my follow up visit after I had Ben, that Dr asked me what happened between myself and the other Dr, he saw there was a request in my file not to see him unless I had to. So, given that I had grown to really like this new Dr, I gave him a brief overview, and just said it was a difference of opinion. New Dr said I wasn't the only one with that issue.
Ok, then why does he still work there if other patients are having the same problem?????!!!!!!!!
Wow and that was the condensed version!

Yeah, he was/is a real butt!

My husband and I were taking bets that I would go into labor when the bad Dr was on call for delivery. Luckily that didn't happen!
