I agree! I adored him.  His enthusiasm for life was something rarely seen in this world. I think he was a very special soul & I cannot even phathom how much he will be missed by those who knew & loved him. How Tradgic! My son & I have been great fans from the beginning. i will be honest here & say that there were many times I watched his shows by myself-he made me smile!  Peace, Tam

i am in shock too. steve irwin was a very special man by bringing attention to plight of animals in the wild.
it's such a shame he's gone. watching him on tv through the years and the documentaries he did on his life, his parents, his wedding and his kids made me think i knew him personally.

Thanks for posting. I think it's always a shock when something like this happens to someone who is sooooo full of life. He certainly had a contagious, upbeat personality. A joy for life and the worlds creatures!!
It is indeed sad, and my heart goes out to his wife, children, and all those who knew him best.
