Hi Everyone,
Some of you may remember my husband and I, a lot of you are new....just wanted to say hello to everyone and hope you are all doing well. I haven't been here for so long, but I do think of many of you often. Mike (Lemu63) for those of you who remember him is doing ok, I mean ok as AS goes, but you all know what I mean, good days, bad days, walking days and wheelchair days flares and fine.... But we are dealing. The kids are all growing, our first 2 are now in college, Aubrey is a Junior in college this year and Shanoah will be a college freshman in October, Seth (our oldest boy) is going into his sophomore year in highschool and our baby Jacob is now 11 and headed off to the dreaded middle school, 6th grade...you know, where they lose their innocence and start their journey to becoming more alien like then human LOL. Since I was here last, I became a published illustrator, that's my exciting news....it is a cookbook written by a culinary arts teacher who is a collegue of mine. When she was in the process of getting the book finished, she started looking for publishers and decided she wanted her cookbook to be different from the norm, she had seen some of my art work before and decided cartoons were the way to go, therefore I took the gig and it worked out great. Not something we will get rich off of, but certainly a blessing and an honor to have my name and work on a published book, this was one of the smaller dreams for me! If you want to see atleast the cover, check it out at www.joancooks.com or you can find it at Amazon or barnes and noble web sites as well. The name of the book is "Good food, simply prepared" by Joan Styrna and illustrated by me (Sheila Lemieux). Hope you enjoy it! Well enough blabbing, got to run, hope to get reconnected...be back soon, Take care & God bless, Sheila (& Mike too)

Sheila, thanks for checking in! Congrats on the book!!

Please give a gentle hug to Mike and get one back for yourself. Stick around (and whack him upside the head for not coming here) OK?

Many hugs,

Kat
