I can't wait to get out and about, It has been months. But I will take it carefully by listening to the doctors. If I rush it a setback could keep me off of my feet even longer and I don't want that.

Once I get my mobility back, I'm going to be living life to the fullest. I know I can't make up for down time, but I can make the most of what I have now. I'll be back at the beach or hang out with friends singing kareoke. Sitting in front of the TV won't be much of an option, unless I'm watching feelgood movies on a rainy day.

What great news! Congratulations Well that sure lifted my spirits, instead of sitting around watching football all day I think I'll take a long bike ride. Thanks for the boost

Thanks for sharing the wonderful news. I'm so happy to hear that your surgery was a success. Even a better one than they had expected! ! !Yahoo! ! ! I do knwo what it is like to start to nitice how good your body is doing after it starts to improv, because of my crash. At first my legs were curled up to almost a fetal position, and they had to inject botox into them. So, I tell everyone that I must have the youngest looking legs around!! LOL Doesn't it feel SO good to see your body starting to get back into the position that it used to be in? Or at least closer than it had been. I'm SO happy for you. Though I do know that you have a long road ahead of you, please make sure to keep your head up high. I found that one of the biggest aspects to healing is attitude. (Myself and other patients I knew who had a good and positive attitude got better A LOT faster, and much more compleatly than those with negative attitudes) So, please, keep your chin up high, my friend. Though, it does seem from this post that you have already gotten a pretty good attitude. So, I don't think that you need to hear that from me, about positive folks healing faster is what I mean.

I will pray for your recovery, that it may be rapid and complete. May God bless you. I know how hard it is to be in the hospital for such a long time. I'll pray that it won't be too long of a recovery for you. I hope that you have guests(friends and family) there to keep you company, and help you with things. Please, if you would like for me to call you, I will, just PM me your phone number. I would be honored to talk to a KAer friend and keep him company during such a troubling time. (Though I do have to warn you that ever since my car crash and hospitalation, I have developed a very bad stutter, well, not really a stutter I'm told, I actually get stuck repeating words and/or sounds, due to my brian injury. So, I have to warn you that it can get very irritating talking to me over the phone. Especially for long segments of time ) BTW please, if you do PM me your number, tell me when the best times to call would be.
