Welcome to KA. My wife has been on here for several years and speaks very highly of it. I have only been on here for a short time, but have already seen some good things.

Welcome again.

Hi Angie and welcome to KA!

I'm glad you were finally diagnosed. Having to be diagnosed with anything sucks, but at least now you can do something about all the pain and (probably) fatigue you've been feeling. There are many different treatments, both alliopathic and holistic, out there. Explore them, do your research, and you will eventually, hopefully, come up with something that works for you.

Hugs,

Kat

Hi Angie-- I am new around here also. Dx'd with AS about 3 years ago. I just recently found this site, and I am amazed by how much I have learned from reading the messages. Lots of good ideas to try and lots of support. Good Luck!! Pam

Hi Angie,
As usual, I am a day late and a dollar short, but here I am and wanted to say WELCOME!!! My name is Sheila, I do not have AS but my husband Mike (Lemu63) does. Just want to encourage you to keep coming back and tell your faily there is support for them here as well. Looking forward to getting to know you and all the other new people. I don't get here as often as I would like, but I do find inspiration (and hopefully give some) everytime I log in. Hope you feel good about finding this place and hope you get everything you need from the great people here. Take care & God bless, Sheila

Don't worry about the things you can't do, focus on the things that you can.

That's a variation on the Serenity Prayer, a staple of AA. I am not the religious, or anonymous, type but I really dig the prayer.

It goes: God give me the Strength to accept the things I cannot change, the Courage to change the things I can, and the Wisdom to know the difference.

Or something like that anyway.
