Let's see, if the playoffs were to start today Ottawa would be in 4th place, meaning a match up with Boston, Toronto would be first playing the Islanders. So far Ottawa is 3-1-1 VS Boston, and the Leafs are 1-2-0 VS the Islanders.(yeah, I have too much time on my hands) Boston is playing much better and I think goaltending would be the difference in that series. What does that mean? Toronto won't get the chance to meet Ottawa and beat them four straight again after we put the Islanders out of their misery. I realize there are lots of people who are Leaf fan haters, but I look at it this way, the laws of average are on our side. It's been 37 years since we last won the cup, it has to happen again, sooner rather than later. No one said life would be easy, just worth it.

Does anyone here get ESPN the magazine? Someone is putting together a free for all for Ex Goons of the NHL this fall... thus far have 19 ex players I believe signed up for the event.
I guess last one standing wins the money prize.
Anyone else hear this?

We play you two more times before the season ends. Should all else remain equal, that'll put us three points up. (we'll win those games  ) Of course when we get Belfour back we all know which team will win more games, T.O.  I'm lovin' it. This is the first time in years when games this far into the season could have a treamendous impact on the standings. There are only five points between first and sixth. Either of those teams go for a bit of a tumble and they could finish sixth or eighth, maybe out all together. This is what it's all about.  No one said life would be easy, just worth it.
