Thanks, Tim . . . if it's better, that means I won't be coming to AZ (Mayo) for a while at least, so see you in Vegas?

Thanks Maggie! (So I was just reading that you're a friend of Bill W? Congrats on 15 years!)

'Chin' is riding high, 'Allan.' Anybody who's 'thinking' about 'X' is, well . . . 'very unattached!' I'm 'working' it into 'my' 'schedule' next 'week' (a space in time I 've heard)!!! Actually, I 'skimmed' over the 'article,' went into a 'coma' (no 'pain' there), and decided my own 'reality' is 'working' pretty 'darn well!'

Think post-hole-digger. Think, post-hole-digger inserted into the back of the pelvic bone, near the SI joint. Think, a pump sucking marrow out of the leg, and the leg feeling like it will implode. And finally, they slam up and down on the bone trying to break a chunk off to put into a second vial, to send to a lab, along with the marrow. Now remember the needle of lidocaine they use at the dentist? That's all they used. Doesn't do a lot. And remember that bone can't be numbed, only the tissue that they go through to get the post hole digger (they actually call it a large hollow needle. Yeah, right.)

So thanks for asking, and for wishing me well -- more than you wanted to know? But yes, the roadback doc is so great.

Take care,

Patty

George, Mig, Irene,

Thanks for the good wishes, fingers, toes, etc . . . (I'm running out of time -- midterms to grade -- sorry for the joint reply!)

Triple hugs,

Patty

As I posted to Lisa, I think it's less about being human and making mistakes, and more about not really being interested or caring for the patient. You're right -- we know our bodies. Glad your GP got sick for a day -- or where would you be right now? "IAIYH," that's where!

Hey , great to hear you found a doctor who is willing to listen !

BTW, I also get swollen lymph glands from time to time, usually under me armpits, or around the neck. Sure sign of infection isn't it ! And I also responded to an antibiotic that I was on for 5 days to treat a chest infection - I was given Cefaclor (Distaclor). Unfortunately the pain came right back after finishing the antibiotics. Actually my chest infection came right back as well, but thats another (long) story.
