we had a gas stove installed specifically for mookie if we lost power in the winter. as with you, the blowers won't work, but we had it put in a small room with doors so it should stay warm enough. we've never taken mookie out in the cold, but if we did, we'd put him in his travel cage, put a heavy blanket over it and move him quickly to the prewarmed car. hope you don't have to do that. be safe and warm.
