I was told I couldn't be sick - and I tried hard not to be.
But no matter how hard I tried to "soldier on", I couldn't even get out of bed. The doctors told my husband I was faking. He left me. Now, I think he'd probably wanted to be rid of me, but man that hurt. I doubted myself, too. Maybe I just think I can't get up.
The doctors couldn't make sense out of my weird results, so they took refuge in "she's just crazy".
An illness like ASpa is often tricky. There is no certain test that proves the diagnosis for us, it depends on recognizing the pattern.
