I found out that I didn't do well on a fast when I tried to do one with a group from our church. I do well though when I tried to go "Low Carb" to lose weight. After a few days on the low carb diet, I get more energy. I never tried it long enough since my AS Dx to know if it will help with my AS symptoms. The low carb diet is really low starch, as it restricts wheat, rice,beans and most starchy foods. I will have to try it again. It's hard for me personally, as I tend to crave comfort food like mac & cheese and puddings when I feel bad. My family gets unhappy because I make most of our breads. They especially love my sourdough rye bread. I just can't stand to smell it baking without at least sampling some. I am afraid I just don't have the necessary "Wont Power".
