Simply asking people to think about what they say is hardly a "slight attempt at censorship." To view it that way is to miss the point entirely. Indeed, asking people to think about what they say is simply a call to every member asking them to exercise personal responsibility each and every time they post. How? By remembering that, no matter how large the disagreement, it is entirely possible to talk through that disagreement with complete civility and respect for others who might be involved in it. If you think you are being censored simply by being asked to be polite and considerate of the feelings of fellow members as you advocate your own viewpoint . . . well, I don't even know how to adequately respond to that. As mig correctly pointed out, this has simply to do with polite social behavior.
