I struggled with plantar faciitis about 5 years ago. I was told to "ice" it everyday after exercise or walking on it etc. up to 3 times per day (bag of frozen peas works great). I also had to do gentle stretching of my ham string by stretching forward while flexing my foot several times throughout the day. I also took advil (this was pre-AS diagnosis.)

It took soooo long to heal, but after 12 long months it finally went away. I also had really cushy heal cups that I had to wear in my shoes (spencos).
