Wow, am sorry for your situation, that is a burden for sure...did they give a reason for denying tenure? Sometimes it comes down to the whim of those in power...
this puts pressure on your school finances for sure, I hope that either they reconsider or David can find some work in the next year that will help pay for the rest of your children's education...being able to give them a free education was such a plus for you in this day and age!
