I think you will have a hard fight on your hands to get a hot tub paid for by an insurnace company. I tried every angle I could and even talk with a CPA about writing the total cost of the tub off on my taxes. The best I could do was the same as "Oldtimer" my doctor writes me a prescription each year for hydro-therapy and I write the costs of keeping my hot tub and pool running. The chemicals, repairs, etc. It isn't a free ride but it sure helps.
