I am not sure if anyone posted this very delicious and very easy recipe, so I will repost.
I have tested several recipes and this one is another fabulous granola bar recipe. It has become a staple around my home. My kids get nervous when the supply gets low. I now have to double the recipe.
So easy to make. Mix the dry, mix the wet, add wet to dry, and mix thoughly. Very forgiving, don't have to be exact. If you put a litle more of this or that, it comes out just great.

IN ADDITION TO THIS REICPE I add to the mixture
1/4 cup hulled sesame seeds-you could use more or less
1/4 - 1/2 cup of semi sweet choc chips-if you like,we like
I substituted coconut oil for the graeseed oil and honey for the agave.
craisons and or raisons
and just a tad more sea salt than the recipe calls for.
I oil the pan with coconut oil and then put parchment paper and oil that, so that it easily can be removed from the pan. If you don't have parchment paper, just oil the pan.
Add mixture to pan and pat it down with a spatula so that it is compact.
I find that in my oven I have to cook the bars longer than the recipe calls for, 5- 10 minutes longer, till a little darker than golden brown.
If you want it sticky, leave it on the counter.
If you want it hard and crunchy, refrigerate.
If you don't want it so compact, don't pat in down hard with the spatula and cook till just golden. They will have a softer texture.
LET THE BARS COOL COMPLETELY, otherwise I find it has a tendency to crumble. When cooled, cut into squares.
You can play with the reicpe and all other nuts and seeds that are NS.I made it with pignolia nuts-pine nuts and walnuts. I liked it but it wasn't a favorite with the kids.
I hope you love them as much as we do.
By the way Karen, your granola bars are very delicious too! I have made them many times. Thanks for the recipe.
As a side note, it works wonders if you are constipated!
