If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi Rox, I have been tempted to try adding back some starch to see what happens. It is something I may try in the future, but I don't want to lose any progreess that I may be making yet. Thanks for your input.

Hey Harry , The only yogurt that I can find in my area that doesn't have starch added is Dannon unflavored which the have in 32oz size at Super wally world . My wife sometimes uses some of the Dannon yogert for a starter and makes homemade yogurt . Have you found any cottage cheese that doesn't have starch ? Talk Later. Bruce

Hi Bruce, The Dannon plain in the 32 oz container is what I had been eating. I was also able to find a brand in smaller containers but I don't recall the name. It was a brand that I had never heard of before. I did not like it as much as the Dannon. Now that you asked the question I just went to double check the cottage cheese and it has less than 2% food starch. I don't know how I missed that...... arggghh. Details, details, details; I am glad you made me look. I have had that for the last two days for breakfast. I feel no worse for it though, but of course I feel no better either.
I like your guitar player signature Bruce. It makes me want to get out my guitar and strum a few chords.

Hey Harry, One thing I noticed that you may want to try is excluding dairy for a while. I know this is the LAST thing you want to hear because you already feel like you have cut out ALL FOODS!! I went NSD and then started reacting to dairy products. (One of my many food allergens, along with citrus! Out went the morning OJ! Made me achy all over. ) I now tolerate aged cheeses and I eat yogurt and either Breyer's Lactose Free Vanilla Bean (VERY YUMMY!!) or frozen yogurt! Thank God for little splurges!! Hang in there. This diet doesn't seem so absolute to most of us. I know there are many things that cause me to react besides just the starch. Maybe try keeping a diet log for a while. Keep us posted, Janet

Hi Harry,
Good to hear from you again.
Few items you may want to review from your post. Ice cream.... be sure it is a all natural ingredients, most are not. And like Janet stated, dairy is an issue for some people... maybe it is an allergin food for you. Could cut out dairy for a week and see how you respond. May want to add a calcium supplement if you cut out dairy long term so do not pull calcium from the bones.
How about the corned beef and bacon? I have not had either under the NSD/LSD... but I know I had issues with pork sausage (I try to stay away from processed as much as possible).
The chocolate may need to be consumed in moderation... I would discontinue for a week as well to notice any improvements.
Some other good snacks are raisons, walnuts, almonds, dried fruit..... I now love frozen fruit berry or cherry mixes that I thaw out and eat.... very yummy!!!
AS may win some battles, but I will win the war.

That's about how long it took for results for me, too. EEEEW, get all that starchy stuff away from me!! Poison, poison, poison!!! Rox http://www.geocities.com/artisan1998.geo/index.html

Hi Harry, Good to see you joining the forum! I got results within the first week, which got better and better as time went on. Thing is I was so fearful of taking in unsuspected starches, that I was virtually NSD - and that's not a bad thing at all!! Maybe that's why it worked so well and so quickly for me! Give up any thought at increasing your starches until you feel more stable. Why de-stabilise your efforts so far??!!! I have done some experimentation, and I'll post about it before long, but you're too early in the game to be even thinking about it!! Take care, Jan

Hi Ken,so how are you doing ? as you may remember 12 months NSD did nothing for me ,but sulpazalazine has + probiotic (solgar) +flax oil + calcium supp.and a little something extra ,lipoic acid (very expensive) .I read that lipoic acid ,is a major antioxidant which helps to slow down the damage done to collagen, which of course is a natural process, but i guessed that it might help keep the integrity of my own tissue.? I must say that i haven't felt this good in years.Bye for now ,Tim
