Just curious. Does anyone else seem to have everything that goes wrong with your bod happen to the same side? Previously I've had reconstructive sinus surgery on eye socket, lung surgery, pneumonia, etc. My current pain list is lower back, sciatica, neck, foot, hip, rib, chest, and wrist. ALL of the above belong almost exclusively to the right side. Anybody having all their woes on the left side that wants to swap a few parts? ;~)

Now that you mention it...I think a lot of my pains seem to favour the right side....maybe it has something to do with the way our (mine)spines twist??? Lets see if we get anymore responses to this. Dan.  Who knows what the drugs will do to us?

I can totally relate to what your saying. My right side is my bad side. I have more pain and have had more surgery to the right side of my body.
My ankles, knees, hips and lower back, chest pain, neck pain...etc... are worse on my right side...
I have no idea...why...Can sympathize with you for sure!!

this is really interesting. Most of my problems are with the right side of my body as well. I tend to curve to the right in a bad flare. My right knee is the worse knee. I'll swap, it's my left side that is the worst. Peripheral joint involvement in AS tends to be asymetrical, so maybe that's a clue. Cheryl  Dogs don't care if the house is messy

Mine is usely the right but this time it is both. But I still walk lening to the right. Donna

No good us swapping body parts , my right hand side is my problem side too :
Had dental surgery to remove a tooth growing above my right hand front tooth , It was moving up towards my nose .
Had two bone growths removed from my right hand finger . ( Bone systs )
Broke my R.H index finger ( Bone cavity )
Broke my R.H Femur bone in my leg ( more bone syst's)
One weird RH big toe , which I have also broken .
Most pain is on RH side
Don't know if this could be alink to A.S ? .
If I had two spines it would be my R.H one that is partly fused .
Have considered having my RH side cut off , or would I be disturbing the Ying / Yang
effect of my body ?

Interesting, I'm pretty one-sided, too. Left side for me.
Left SI fused, left hip bothers me more, left thorasic area, left side of neck, left eye more affected by iritis, broke left wrist, broke left leg (but that wasn't my fault, it's where the car hit me), broke left 3rd & 4th metatarsals, broke middle left toe, hell my left foot is bigger. Only difference is that I have a slight curve to the right at the base of my spine.
Hmmmm. Wonder what that's all about.

I am totally right-sided. I've had problems with the right side of my jaw, my right shoulderblade, right hip, right knee and right foot. Also, all my muscle spasms are on the right side. Close to nothing on the left side. Interesting.
