If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Friday martini post is all yours. Of course we will give it a breathalyzer to make sure it is properly loaded with martini riddled phraseology. As for the shots Iknow what you mean. Kid brother is juvenile diabetic and doin it all his life. When we went through the IVF for the triplets I had to give Diane a shot everyday. I t was hell. The owrst however was the first injection that had to be intramuscular. Two inch needle and they show the film on what goes wrong if you do it incorrectly. More like a horror film. So I get my nerve up and after about 3 false starts I finally plunge the needle in, then like you I pull it out from some sort of Neanderthal knee jerk spasmodice reaction. So Diane is not happy and not knowing I have to reinject. Wham I do it again and because she didn't expect it she's NOT HAPPY> Whew. I don't envy folks who have to self inject.     stevec-they also serve who stand and wait

LOL Jeanna...Boy did that bring back memories and it sounds exactly what I went through. It's much easier doing it to someone else than is is to your yourself. I found myself grabbing my hand with my other hand and stopping myself. A little time went by and I had to have hubby do it or I just wasn't going to get them done, but OUCH! he hurts. He was hitting the muscle or something just right. I then decided that I had to fight myself a little harder and get like the nike commercial says..."just do it" It got easier and easier each time. Anyway....GOOD FOR YOU! Glad you were able to do it and it and I hope helps. It was a wonderful drug for me and helped so much. I hope you have the same results. I know I don't have to tell you, but I will anyway... Make sure you have your blood work done on a regular basis. Don't take it for granted if they keep coming out ok and then decide that because they have been ok that you can skip them now and then. That's the mistake I made and while I was skipping those couple tests was when it was eating my liver and I didn't know it until it. Now no more metho and a yucky liver. I am sure you know better than this though considering your smarts in the medical field, but I still always feel a responsibilty to keep repeating myself. Take care and best of luck to you, Lisa

Being as I've given myself 3 injections every day for more than 20 years ( ) it was intersting (even fun - sorry) reading your post and all the replies. (I have type 1 diabetes). When I was first introduced to the concept in hospital I was given an orange and a needled syringe on which to practice. You won't be surprised to hear that injecting an orange and injecting myself weren't quite the same thing Anyway - I was told that eventually it would become as much of a routine thing as brushing my teeth. The reality is even more strange - I always know if I've brushed my teeth, yet I often have to think hard about whether or not I've remembered my injection. Sometimes I really can't remember and have to perform my own blood tests to assertain whether or not I have injected. So, you really do get used to it, it might take you longer with being on a once weekly rather than thrice daily regime, but it'll work out. There's a fist time for everything! Yay you for your first time eventual success. Loz

Oh man, Strutsy. I can't imagine having to inject myself and I watched my dad do it every day of his life 'til I was 18!! Good for you for persevering and overcoming!

Strutsy, Years ago I took Imetrex injections for migraines. They too were suppose to go subQ into the thigh. I couldn't do it. Something about my big fat soft sensative thighs. However I was able to self inject into my arm. Didn't seem to hurt as much. Just a thought.
