Hi everyone, friends + lovers! Brian from Van- some good news to report! This time around,1stly, its worked again. I've been working at home consistantly the whole time, although now pain is from overuse, catching up. 1st time on NSD in MAR-02, I got debilitatingly tired. This time, I,ve been taking Malic acid supplements(apple acid) and drinking plenty of chilled apple juice( sun-rype-the good kind), and I literally can't stop working. I was unable to sit at the computer for over 4-5 minutes- now I can't stop. I'm also doing a complete diet revision-cleaning out cupboards etc- I'm not even that hungry,so I'll keep going as long as possible. I'm now only taking my evening Nsaid + sulpha + sleep med(Ami). Anybody have any great health suggestions ,while I.m on a role? Love AS Kickers-Brian in Van

Hi Brian,

Good to hear you are doing so well!!! I too struggled with energy on my first NSD attempt, but improved quite a bit the 2nd time around (2 weeks later).

All kinds of tips could be passed on. Are you looking for tips in any particular area? Are you at a point to toss the NSAIDS?

Couple suggestions I will throw out there I like:

- Omega 3 oil supplement (fish oil or flax seed oil)
- Ginger is a natural anti-inflamatory - I mix in my grape or cherry juice daily. I get very good results
- Heal your gut - I am taking a supplement and juicing cabbage

Am I reading you correct that you are the 5th day of your apple diet/fast? I just completed a 3 day fast and can not believe the results. Much more energy, mental thought process much clearer, no AS pain at all.

I read some books on fasting over the weekend as well as literature off the internet. They stated your first fast should not be very long.... this is because to much toxins may be released into the system all at once.

So if this is indeed your first fast be careful. I plan on another 3 day fast myself in a few months.

Take care,

Tim
