I went to visit my reummy yesterday and he agreed with my initial DX of AS
he prescribed me Daypro and physical therapy and went over the disease with me,
has anyone had any experience with daypro because the side effects look pretty scary and my alternative MD said he can reduce the inflammation with the use of Herbs and Diet Mod.

Lookin for pointers

HI,
I got my diagnosis 5 years ago. I have been on every NSAID you can name. The best results I have had have been from controlling my starch intake. That reduces my pain more than the drugs did. I take celebrex once a day right now. I found out about the diet on this website, my pain was so severe for so long, I thought it couldn't hurt to try it. It was hard to control what I ate for the first month, but after that initial month, I was feeling so much better, i was able to go on a milder NSAID and the pain was reduced enough to keep going.
Hope this helps,
you do have to be careful about drugs because you only get one body and the AS is causing enough damage, you don't want to rot out your gutt.
mm
