If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Greetings all
I am about to purchase a neck & back brace and is wondering which type to buy. I have slightly stooping posture for the past 8 months with my stoop increasing and returning back to a less stooped position based on the amount of pain I have.
Due to me having found the Apple cider vinegar treatment which is working wonders for me at the moment I want to take my healing to the next level that is getting my posture corrected as much as possible.
The types I am looking at is the Halo for the neck and the Hyper extension type for my back....
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated....
I think everyone with AS should have a good set braces even if you are suffering with mild inflammation levels, since mild inflammation is normally ignored most of the time.
Regards

Anytime I try to brace or support anything in my body, I develop more inflammation (i think its that the body can't circulate the blood properly and thus can't clear out the inflammation and so it builds and builds instead) and my muscles get weaker and thus spasm more which then makes them weaker; its a viscous cycle.
The bracing feels good initially, but always causes trouble for me.
But, we're all different, so your experience may be different.

Sue I and I share the same experience and diagnosis.
Support always helps at first. Bu then begins to work against me. But you need to find out for your self and how it works for you. Many thought it was funny if I di dnot wear a knee brace when playing ball, our kind of pain ismagngied by pressure and rubbing.
good luck.
I keep the New Covenant, when I fail....I am pulled back into place by HIM.

Lee - The problem with bracing is that long term use weakens the musculature. For intermittent use, especially for cervical support, then no problems. For thoracic...would suggest running this past your physio and rheumatologist.
