If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Dear AS friends I was diagnosed AS in 2011 and my doctor prescribed me Salazopyrin (Sulfasalazine) 2000mg every day and Pregablin 150mg Every day and some muscular relaxants, my pain is decrease and increase randomly until now.
So I realized that Food plays big roll in AS increasing and decreasing, and started searching AS friendly foods and got know about No-Stach Diet plan on internet and became happy, to read some success story and got in touch with some AS friends, who are using NSD, One of them told me that there is problem while you taking NSD, if you missed or you ate Stach Foods or grain, you will get hit by pain immediately and you can not stop diet whole like, if you revered to normal food, your AS will be increased more than now and became serious??? is that true? please advise me what to do? should I start NSD? or relay on Salazopyrin?
Regards

I think if you do the NSD and it helps you, but eat starch one day, you will have increased pain within about 7 hours. But if you stop eating starch again, and do the NSD again, you will become better again after 5 to 7 days.

The NSD has helped me a lot. It was the first thing that finally worked for me. It even dropped my labs, and my sed rate went from 65 to 18. Every 6 months my labs would drop and it took two years fro them to go into normal range. I still get pain if I ear starchy stuff. I have some sclerosis on an xray for my si joints and I was dxd with RA, but have had more si joint pain than hand pain so I feel like I have AS, but all my bloodwotks points to RA. Guess it does not matter, I think a diet full of fresh fruits and veggies will heal the gut then heal the joints, that is my opinion ans my labs and swelling have gotten better. If you dont think the diet is working be patient. I could not walk down my stairs or brush my hair or straighten my elbows or knees and now they look fine with no pain. My si joints are still sore but somedays I have no pain there at all.
Take care.
Diet change has improved my RA. I feel best eating raw veggies and some fruits and avoiding grains, sugars, nightshades, beans and dairy. Sed rate dropped from 65 to 19, but it took over a year. www.fatsickandnearlydead.com excess fat/oils = pain for me recipes for raw food on Youtube "raw food romance" and "healing josephine" Josephine is in remission from RA after two years by change diet/exercise
