If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

So... I had a curtain opening accident two weeks ago tomorrow am. I knew it was bad in the nanosecond it happened. But this time, I went right to the med chest and got a prednisone & ice. Then went to a 3 hour class, went and swam slowly for about 20 minutes, then took a muscle relaxer. The next day same thing... without the class. Day 3 my stomach hurt too bad to take any more pred, so just kept up with the ice and swimming and muscle relaxer after. No muscle relaxers for 2 days now... well, other than what I take in order to sleep without pain. Today I'm close to where I started two weeks ago.:r

Sorry the pred hurts your stomach. How much were you taking. I do well on 4 mg pills, 6 day medrol dose pack taper. But I know not everyone fairs well on them. I guess I'd have done same as you did. Feel better soon

Hi Sue!!!
I took 5mg both days. My body seems to hold a grudge against all meds.
I'm not griping mind you. 40+ years on NSAIDS was pretty good luck!
Between ages 8-11ish I took LOTS of steroids and lots of codeine. Sooooo it seems that not only have I had to give up NSAIDS and most forms of narcotics, now prednisone seems out as well.
Icing my sacrum and taking the muscle relaxer really helped that genitofemoral nerve pain.
I guess when one old standard quoits working we get busy trying something new!

For 16 years, ice has been my number one go to.
Since 2001, zanaflex has been a good tool.
Sorry you can't take the other stuff, but hope you heal soon.

Please tell me, I am having a very difficult time with my SI joints. Went to have an SI joint injection, under the CT scan and the doc says, "sir, your SI joints are fused and I cannot get in there". He spread the steroid in the area anyway, felt good for two days. Now I seem to have severe SI pain on the right that just about keeps me from walking ver far. My question, has anyone else had this and any success with treatment! and what was the treatment. AS for 40 years, bowel resection 16 years a go,reverse shoulder replacement on the left and soon the right. Remicade Prednisone Pain Meds Ibuprofen Really need help for these SI joints Thanks for any suggestions Eddy

Crawl up in a ball, have a good cry then pray to god, go to sleep then hate myself in the morning followed by an arduous workout. Then I try to get back on track.
