Beloved,

Much of this life is a real tussle when we face the health problems that we face. Some times it seems that we don’t get a break. It seems as though AS has made a dangerous liaison with a health monster; but there is hope!
Yea, it may seem as though the devil thumbs us in the eye, or back or _______, but we are still here, and some of you are even better.
I must say that my countenance was lifted when I saw the compassion and many many..many words of concern for well being, tho a few more of you silent majority could have jumped in with a comment or two. (where is Lon)
I did not get a moose, a mouse or a mice. Two sore knees- that still hurt. But man oh man, I would go back this week if I COULD! Maybe I should settle for a mouse hunt -?
Fatigue is a very familiar acquaintance, it is a bit easier for me to embrace him now than when I was younger. I am so thankful for what I can do, have done and what I will be able to accomplish in the future! How is it with you, my friend.
As change comes tumbling into your life, you are faced with being as prepared for the future as you can be, or bungling the most mundane events.
As’ers are tougher than most, but we can also learn to love and to give of ourselves. Friends and family often mean well, but they simply do not understand. Our pain is more than just frost feathers found after a cold night, we are being bent and pulled often in terrible pain.
Do not let the chumps and nimrods of this life, get to you!
Never, repeat never give up! Thanks for reading this pesky smudge of ink!
I love this place
Lon

Dearest Lon, friend, I do love to hear from you. I thought of you today as I stood at the sink and trimmed, cut up and packaged our fresh deer loin and wondered if you got out to hunt this year. I can't get out anymore but that doesn't keep me from booting DH out of bed the first day of deer hunting laugh2. Yep fatigue and pain set in when I was done but what a gratifiing feeling to have meat in the freezer. I wish I could share it with you but a bit hard to send through cyber space. floor

hugss
Cindy

Hi Cindy!

I enjoyed a week in the Tetons!
But my knees were just throbbing, so I stayed close to camp!

I hope your deer is good.

I may have to limit myself to fishing????

How are you feeling?

Any road trips in store?

Is Nimrod a Biblical reference?

Just curious... because I am familiar with his name from Bible.

Best to you Lon... glad you enjoyed the time with nature and hope next time you can get your mouse and/or moose. Maybe Snowshoe can show you where to find the mice.

Bre'r Lon, dear Lonnie, the reason you didn't catch a mouse is that you didn't have little Lola Mae with you. As a toe-biter, and being shorter than grass, she's about the right size.

I am glad to hear that even having to stick close to camp, you had a good week.

Love to you, my dear.

Tim-
I was thinking more of the Nimrod being who thinks he is something he is not..rather than one being a successful hunter!

Tim- are you kidding me, I will not let snow..... near camp...she would be taking charge planting traps all over the place.... BIG BEAR TRAPS!!!!!

I found the mouse- I just need a bigger gun!

Chris-
I appreciate a man such as yourself--encouraging me to keep my powder dry... Good to see you again?
How are you feeling- any hunting this Fall?
