If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hello everyone, The last 3 weeks have been the worst ever. Horrible pain in my lower back, radiating down the front of my thighs and shooting pain down the back of my legs also (the latter I have everyday anyways). I have had this kind of pain before but none this intense that lasted this long. I didn't have anything to take to ease the pain, as some of you know, my Pain Doc says I have to suffer. He will only give me 300mg of Tramadol a day which I will stop taking when this script runs out. I don't feel it does much of anything for me. I talked to my Family Doc the other day about changing Docs at the Pain Clinic and she tried to call there and just got a recording. Hopefully she has heard back from them. I see her again today so hopefully there will be more news. My Family Doc prescribed me Oxyneo which is long acting and Dilaudid for break through pain....it has helped. My Pain Doc refuses to give me anything. So finally last night I got more than 2 hours sleep....rough nights they were I also go back to work on Nov 7th.......exactly 5 months off after 2 surgeries this past summer. I can't go back to work in this condition I am going to talk to my Ortho Doc that did my feet about my back and see if she is interested in checking it out. I see her Nov 25. Anyways.....just a little update about some of the stuff going on with me Sherri

Hi Sherri
Sorry you are having so much pain, sounds awful. A pain management doctor who let's you suffer like that is no doctor at all. How many hours on your feet when you go back? Hope your doctors can come up with a plan and not force you back to work too soon. Let us know how it goes.
I can not defeat you but I will not let you win

Hi Jeff, I am a little worried about going back to work. I work in a very big Hospital so it is a long walk from where I park to my office, other than that it is a sit down job Yes, my Pain Doc is something else. I am working on changing Docs Sherri

Sorry to hear you are in pain. I would get a new doctor or new pain clinic and get some real help. I think the tramadol can cause some crying/anxiousness when you stop taking it so just be on the lookout for that. Maybe you won't notice it, but its good to be informed. Hope you feel better soon. Glad you came here to rant, that's what we are here for, to listen. Take care!
Diet change has improved my RA. I feel best eating raw veggies and some fruits and avoiding grains, sugars, nightshades, beans and dairy. Sed rate dropped from 65 to 19, but it took over a year. www.fatsickandnearlydead.com excess fat/oils = pain for me recipes for raw food on Youtube "raw food romance" and "healing josephine" Josephine is in remission from RA after two years by change diet/exercise

Sherri,
Sorry to hear you are feeling so poorly. I do know one change you can make--stop calling your Pain Doc a Pain Doc, as it sounds to me like s/he is anything but. What a complete tool--to go into the field of pain management and then refuse to prescribe any meds stronger than tramadol, no matter how much pain the patient is in. That is unconscionable, and I sincerely hope you find a new doctor who is fully deserving of the title Pain Doc. I hope you feel better soon too.
Brad
