Time for flu shots!!!

I got mine last week. My husband went to the rheumatologist today and they gave him his.

My shot was so easy. I didn't even feel it, didn't need a Band-Aid and never got a bit sore. I am beginning to wonder if she actually gave it to me. smile

It is SO easy that you really don't want to get the flu by missing your shot. There have already been quite a few cases of flu here according to our dr.

Have a good rest of the day.

I get mine at work. Need to leave a little early next week to get there in time to catch their noon hours. It's nearly impossible to get Employee Health to pay any attention to those of us that work 2nd shift. Argh. smile

I got mine end of august, right before school started.

Didn't want to catch anything from all those little germ factories returning to school.

So far, so good. smile

I have never had a flu shot and don't have any plans to have one. Not sure why, just never got into the practice of doing it. I have only 2 memories of having the flu in the past. I know at work at the Hospital they provide the service for all employees.

You can't have them if you are on a biologic so I didn't get one again.

That's interesting.

I was specifically told to get the flu shot by both my GP and rheumy BECAUSE I am now on a biologic.

On a biologic, you shouldn't have any live-virus vaccine. Flu vaccine is killed virus (though Flumist is live-virus). So, just get the shot in the arm, it's okay.

At my last Rhuemy appt she asked about it. I told her: Now that I'm out of the military, I will NEVER have another vaccine. I've been poisoned enough.
She was fine with that.
